The Versatex Northeast Team spent time with RLW4 Builders LLC (http://rlw4buildersllc.com/) based in Southampton, New York. RLW4 Builders is a premier custom builder with work in commercial and residential spaces. Walking into the facility at first glance I didn’t really know what to expect, but I was truly impressed. The entire team at RLW4 Builders is filled with great people, and a great camaraderie between everyone. We had an unbelievable time getting an opportunity to share the best practices for Versatex installation.

The house mock-up used for the presentation helped to further display proper techniques and added a great visual tool for the group. The Versatex team included John Chadwick (Long Island), and Josh Turner (Vermont, Maine, Mass). I was there along for the ride and was fortunate to experience a great discussion. As a former home builder prior to his time at Versatex, Josh Turner presented a hands-on experience installing Versatex fascia, soffit, and much more. He discussed the importance of a proper fastening schedule, the most optimal joint connection, and how to manage expansion and contraction; just to name a few topics that were mentioned.

Roy “Buddy” Wines IV is the President of RLW4 Builders LLC. I really enjoyed speaking with Buddy and learning more about RLW4 Builders LLC. He seems to be highly involved in creating a quality and craftsmanship environment with the team. He does an amazing job of collaborating, not only with Versatex, but other quality manufactures that his business believes in. Bringing in manufacturers to help improve install practices and instill continued education for the team is highly important in an industry that is always changing with technology in building materials.
